Faycel aka "Frank" was born and raised in Algiers, Algeria. Frank started his career as a swimmer until he was noticed and join the Algerian National Water Polo Team. He moved to the USA in 2015. He has been with Children of the Sound for over 3 years and a highly requested instructor. Frank enjoys playing his Spanish guitar in his spare time as he used to be in a band. He loves working with children and being part of thier social and cognitive development. For Frank, "having a positive impact on the children around me is very important!" He wants to help people and create a better place for the people.

Amy was born and raised in Norwalk, CT. Before joinng Children of the Sound in 2013 as Program Director and Instructor, Amy was a preschool teacher. She loves working with children and the positive impact that comes with it. Building confidence in little swimmers and the challenge of working with a fearful swimmer is what Amy strives for. She is super patient and kind! Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the beach and her annual trip to the Disney parks in Florida with her family.

Valerie grew up in New York and joined her first swim team at age 6. She graduated John F. Kennedy Catholic High School and Siena College where she swam both competitively and recreationally. She has been with Children of the Sound since 2014. She enjoys spending time with her husband and black lab, Smokey. Some of her hobbies include cleaning up the beach, running, and going to Disney world.

Kayla was born and raised in Oxford, Connecticut. Kayla loves to travel and just recently returned from honeymoon in Greece. When not traveling Kayla loves to do arts and crafts, spend time with her cats and enjoys reading so much that she recently became a co-founder of a book club. Kayla has swam competitively in both High School and College. She specialized in the 500 and the 1650. 

Kayla DeLuca is Lead ABA Therapist within the ABA department of Children of the Sound. She also is the Training Manager and Schedule Coordinator. She has been with the company since Spring of 2018 and is very passionate about working with children and swimming. She has been a practicing Social Worker since 2014 where she worked with at risk adolescent and teenage boys in a residential setting. Kayla recieved her Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She also has her bachelor's degree in Social Work from Western Connecticut State University. Kayla is RBT certificated and a certified school social worker.

 Lyes grew up swimming in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Algiers in North Africa. When he was 14 years old he was selected for the Algerian national swim team in his age group.From 1984 to 1992

Lyes was at the pinnacle of his swimming career, setting records and winning Continental titles as well as several other medals at international swim competitions.  Simultaneously, he was inspired to earn his masters degree in sports and science technology.

Lyes moved to the U.S. in the late 1990s and discovered his true calling – working with children – when he hosted his first swim exposition.  After several years of teaching a multitude of swim lessons for both children and adults, as well as coaching champion youth swim teams,

Lyes eventually established Children of the Sound in 2004.Lyes’s methodology teaches with a “LOVING BUT FIRM” approach that blends equal doses of laughter and fun with hard work.  His methodology prides itself on a personalized approach to instruction that helps children become confident and agile in the water through awareness, self-confidence and respect for the water.

Hey guys my name Is Moss and I'm from Fairfield. I’m a fulltime college student and painter. I believe every child should learn how to swim for saftey reasons, this skill will follow them throughout thier life whether they’re out with family on a boat or with friends at a pool! Kelsy is a board certified music therapist from Woodbury CT. With a bachelors degree in music therapy and a masters in health administration, she has worked with people with a wide variety of special needs over her career. She applies a lot of her music therapy skill sets in the pool as a teaching tool when helping our kiddos develop their swimming skills. Kelsy loves cooking, hiking with her dog and is a backyard beekeeper!
